According to plan, New Year’s Eve in Hanoi will organize firework heights at Hoankiem Lake and some downtown areas, low-level fireworks in the county, district and town.

City People’s Committee approved plans to hold 2 fireworks locations in New Year’s Eve Tet Giap Ngo 2014

Position 1: in northeastern Han River bridge including park sidewalk Bach Dang Street, Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau (near Le Van Duyet street); sidewalk in Tran Hung Dao street, An Hai Bac ward, Son Tra district ( near Nguyen The Loc road).

Position 2: in the southwest Dragon bridge including park sidewalk 2/9 street, Binh Hien Ward, Hai Chau District (the area of the Han River cruise ships); Tran Hung Dao street, An Hai Tay ward, Son Tra district
Total number of fireworks used are 2,000 high-range fireworks. Total shooting time is 15 minutes, beginning 00 days 0 hours 30-1-2014 (1st Lunar New Year).

In Binh Phuoc

Plan New Year’s Eve festival with the theme “Binh Phuoc: spring colors” will be organized on 30-1-2014 at 22:30 pm (30 December lunar day)

Vietnam ranks second in number of foreign tourists to Laos in H1

Photo by AFP Nearly 399,000 Vietnamese tourists came to Laos in the first half of this year, the second biggest number of foreign visitors to Laos during the period, according to the Lao Tourism Development Department. A recent report by the department shows that Laos welcomed over 1.67 million international arrivals in the first six months of this year. Topping the contingent is Thailand (over 668,000), followed by Vietnam, China (over 317,000), South Korea (nearly 73,000), and the U.S. (30,455). Tourists from ASEAN countries accounted for the largest number of the visitors to Laos, with nearly 1.1 million, followed by the over 427,000 visitors from other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
