Visual Adventure: Yangon, Mandalay, Inle Lake and Bagan

We’ve written about some tips to keep in mind when visiting Myanmar, mostly around respect for local customs and informing yourself about the ethnic and sectarian violence ongoing in the country. We thought we’d lighten things up with a photo essay from some of the main tourism spots in the country: Yangon, Mandalay, Inle Lake and Myanmar.

Vietnam ranks second in number of foreign tourists to Laos in H1

Photo by AFP Nearly 399,000 Vietnamese tourists came to Laos in the first half of this year, the second biggest number of foreign visitors to Laos during the period, according to the Lao Tourism Development Department. A recent report by the department shows that Laos welcomed over 1.67 million international arrivals in the first six months of this year. Topping the contingent is Thailand (over 668,000), followed by Vietnam, China (over 317,000), South Korea (nearly 73,000), and the U.S. (30,455). Tourists from ASEAN countries accounted for the largest number of the visitors to Laos, with nearly 1.1 million, followed by the over 427,000 visitors from other countries in the Asia-Pacific region. In the first half of this year, Laos attracted only over 100,000 visitors from Europe, and over 41,000 visitors from the Americas. Hang Cop,Da lat: Wild tourist destination

Da Lat City ( Vietnam travel ) in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong where has not only romantic sightseeing spots but also has wild tourist destinations. So perfect for adventurers, including Hang Cop (Tiger Cave) and a beautiful manmade lake created by Ankroet. From Da Lat railway station, tourists can rent a motorbike to head to Cau Dat which is known for having the best Arabica coffee in Vietnam. Upon arrival, one can see a signboard instructing the way to Hang Cop ( Vietnam travel packages ). The cave was put into operation a long time ago but has since fallen off the map. Local people said that the cave has a spectacular waterfall in the rainy season and its beauty can compete with other popular locations like Prenn, Cam Ly and Datanla waterfalls.
