in Yangon, you will readily observe the differences between this

modern structures and ample gardens and lakes dotting the city
landscape, Yangon retains its distinctive heritage of British, Burmese
Indian and Chinese influences. Be awed by the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda,
its famed golden dome that has since become the architectural icon of
Myanmar and continues to dominate the city skyline today. You will have
time to wander in the oriental bazaars to hunt for Burmese handicrafts.
At
Heho, we will bring you to Inle Lake, one of the most spectacular lakes
in Southeast Asia and which is probably most remembered for its Intha
fishermen and their extraordinary one-legged boat rowing techniques.
Staying at the lakefront suite in Inle Princess Resort, you will revel
in the serendipity and tranquility of Inle Lake while learning about
ancient crafts of lacquering and cigarette making.
A
flight to up north to Bagan will bring you to the very center of
Myanmar. You will be enthralled by the sheer majesty of Bagan with the
thousands of pagodas and stupas strewn across the wide expanse of
plains. At dawn and dusk, enjoy the glorious view of hues of gold
reflecting off the many domes and spires as you ride on horse-driven
carriages.
ITINERARY
Day 1 - ARRIVAL IN YANGON
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your tour guide and taken to the Governor's Residence in a beautifully decorated colonial coach. Catch the magnificent sunset over the gilded dome of the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda.

Day 2 - YANGON - HEHO - INLE LAKE (B)Today you will fly to Heho and enjoy a scenic drive and boat ride to Inle Princess Resort Hotel besides Inle Lake. Spend a tranquil afternoon in Inle Lake, home to the Intha fishermen famed for their unique one legged-rowing styles and the Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, a simple wooden temple perched by the lake famous for their jumping cats. A scrumptious dinner on the private terrace of the Inle Princess Resort Hotel follows.

Day 3 - INLE LAKE - IN DEIN (B,L,D)
Cruise along a small canal leading to the Paoh village of In Dein. A leisurely walk through the village will bring you to the beautiful Alaung Sitthou with its vegetation-covered stupas that overlooks the breathtaking Inle Lake. Lunch the local way at Intha House that belongs to an Intha descendant in the village of Nampan. Enjoy the afternoon with a relaxing spa treatment and a delightful wine tasting experience in the Inle Princess Resort.

Day 4 - INLE - HEHO - BAGAN (B)
In the morning, take the opportunity to witness the production of the typical Burmese cigars by hand in the cheroot factory at Inpawkhone weaving village before flying to Bagan.

Day 5 - BAGAN (B)Start the morning with a visit to the vibrant Nyaung Oo Market. Discover the resplendence of Bagan's history with visits to archeological treasures such as the Shwezigon Pagoda with its impressive bell-shaped stupa, the Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi cave temple with its exquisite jatakas murals paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple famed for its fined plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. In the afternoon, observe skilled craftsmen as they demonstrate to you the ancient technique of lacquering. Relax and sip some cocktail as you gently cruise along Irrawaddy River in the evening sun.

Day 6 - BAGAN - YANGON (B,D)
You will visit Ananda Okkyaung, an architectural masterpiece and one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period. Starting at Ananda, a horse carriage tour among the temples will then bring you to Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple in Bagan and the colossal Dhammayangyi Temple celebrated for its remarkable brickwork and Sulamani. In the afternoon, you will fly back to Yangon followed by a farewell dinner by Exotissimo at Le Planteur Restaurant.
